La serie di visori Stereorama è un progetto in progress che si arricchisce di volta in volta di nuove vedute. Iniziata con Roma, è stata poi la volta di Bruxelles, New York e Jersey City. Sono i primi oggetti prodotti da ZimmerFrei.
What we do is secret è un’immagine in cui la terza dimensione è generata dal cervello unendo la piccola differenza di prospettiva tra due diapositive. La quarta dimensione, il tempo, è creata dalla colonna sonora cha accompagna ogni immagine.
Stereorama si fa guardare in profondità, è una camera oscura in cui abitare, immersiva come una scatola magica, un teatro ottico in miniatura. I fotogrammi sono fermi ma corrono verso il cinema.
The series of Stereorama viewers is a project in progress to which new views are being added from time to time. Beginning with Rome, it was then the turn of Brussels, New York and Teaneck, Jersey City. They are the first objects to have been produced by ZimmerFrei.
What We Do Is Secret is an image in which the third dimension is generated by the brain as it combines the small difference in perspective between two slides. The fourth dimension, time, is created by the soundtrack that accompanies each image.
Stereorama lets itself be looked at in depth; it is a camera obscura that can be lived in, as immersive as a magic box, a théâtre optique in miniature. The photos are still but running towards the cinema.
